“Rounding third and heading for home.” When I was a little girl, my father would always listen to Reds games on the radio. So, frequently I heard Joe Nuxall repeat this expression just before my father turned off the radio. I always thought it meant that the game was over and that he was leaving the ball park. I’ve come to realize that it has different meanings for different people. As I think of it now, I’m reminded of how few days we have left of this school year and yet how much more we need to accomplish before we get to the seventh grade. Please encourage your son/daughter to continue to work hard in math class, to continue reading AR books and work toward the goal of 18 AR points, and to concentrate on their vocabulary studies and the novel we are reading in class.
