Welcome to a brand new year! I hope that your child is adjusting well to second grade. I also hope that the Second Grade handbook is very helpful to you. If you have any questions, please let me know. I have already made some adjustments to the book that will help you. Please encourage your child to read each night. I know that with homework and all their other activities that they have little time, but if they would read for ten minutes each night it would be helpful to them. Religion Many exciting activities will be taking place this year for your child. The First Reconciliation meeting will be on September 16. Other meeting will take place throughout the year.

Smartboard We are having a great time using our Smartboard. I am able to find many different resources on the internet that complement our lessons. I have also found learning games that the children like playing that help reinforce the concepts of our lessons. Math Please continue to study the math facts on a regular basis. It is very important that these are learned by heart. Useful Websites
